This morning I drug the boys on an excursion. Well, first I made them do some research about where we were going: Tibbetts Light House. You would think I asked them to dig their eyes out with a spoon there was so much whining. It was supposed to be close to 50 today, so I thought it perfect for an outing, but it wasn’t. And it’s always colder and windy on the lake. We made the best of it.

Tibbetts is at the place where Lake Ontario connects to the St Lawrence River. I wanted to see the lake because this year is a record for lake frozen -ness, over 90%. It was blatantly obvious where the lake ended and the river began, as the river is only partially frozen while the lake is solid as far as the eye can see. We would have liked to go up into the lighthouse, but it was closed for the season. We knew that before going there, which made Bryce even more upset. Apparently he has a very important daily schedule that cannot be bothered with trivial sight seeing. Greta had a great time and didn’t want to leave.

Thank you for the history lesson. I’d like to visit there. Tell Bryce to get over it.
