Since we got here, the mosquito population has been well fed. I have personally served meals to at least 20 and still counting. I’m sure they are happy and thriving with a belly full of my A+. It’s one of the few things to dislike on this island.
Yesterday we chartered a private boat with captain for a day of snorkeling. We went out to Norman Island, which is also called Treasure Island, the inspiration for the book of the same name. There are some caves, and beautiful fish and an ongoing legend of lost treasure. We didn’t find any gold, but the underwater sea life was just as good.
We enjoyed our last dinner here at the Soggy Dollar Bar. It has become a regular stop for us. It’s called so because there is no boat dock in the bay where we are staying, so everyone arriving by boat comes ashore with soggy dollars, and soggy bottoms.
